Anton Weil was born on March 1, 1989, in Berlin, Germany, and grew up in Berlin-Kreuzberg. He was raised by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Weil. He developed an interest in acting at an early age.
According to his professional biography, his interest in filmmaking and acting was encouraged by an uncle who took him to see Taxi Driver when he was a child.
While still at school, Weil became involved in theatre and joined Departure, the youth theatre group at Berlin’s Theater Strahl.
He was a member of the group from 2007 to 2010, gaining his first substantial stage experience before entering professional training.

Weil began accumulating screen credits during the 2010s. He appeared in German productions including SOKO Leipzig, Der Barcelona-Krimi, Dogs of Berlin, SOKO Potsdam, Ein starkes Team, Unter anderen Umständen and In aller Freundschaft – Die jungen Ärzte.
His international breakthrough came with the 2021 film The Man with the Answers, directed by Stelios Kammitsis. Weil played Mathias, one of the film’s central characters.
The Italian-Greek queer drama follows two men who travel together from Italy toward Germany, and the film was screened at festivals internationally.
The role considerably expanded Weil‘s international profile and remains one of his best-known performances.
Weil became part of the cast of the German crime series Lost in Fuseta – Ein Krimi aus Portugal, playing Miguel Duarte.
He has appeared in multiple installments of the series beginning in 2022, with the role continuing into subsequent productions.
Weil is also an accomplished musician. He initially performed under the character name Toni Steil, presenting retro-inspired musical programs.
