Early Life and Education
Ben Bledsoe was born on 11 May 1982 in Snellville, Georgia, to parents referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Bledsoe.
He spent much of his childhood in California, where he worked as a child model and appeared in commercials and television, before his family relocated to Longwood, Florida, a suburb of Orlando, during his teenage years.
He has one sister, Lara. An active participant in Odyssey of the Mind competitions that reached world finals, he later became a member of MENSA.
He attended high school in the Longwood area and graduated early at age 16. He is Caucasian American, and his religion is Christianity.
Career
Ben Bledsoe began his entertainment career as a child performer before forming the band Natural at age 16 with Marc Terenzi, Patrick King, Michael Johnson and later Michael “J” Horn.
The group signed with Trans Continental Records under Lou Pearlman and quickly gained attention after filling in for a headliner at Germany’s Popkomm festival in front of 150,000 people.
Their debut single “Put Your Arms Around Me” earned RIAA gold certification and reached No. 8 on the Billboard sales chart, leading to extensive international touring and hits such as “Will It Ever,” “Runaway,” “What If,” and the chart-topping collaboration with Sarah Connor, “Just One Last Dance.”
After Natural disbanded in 2004, Bledsoe released his debut solo album An Insomniac’s Guide to a Lonely Heart in 2005 on his own 44th Floor Records label.
He wrote or co-wrote all tracks, played multiple instruments, and the independent release performed strongly on Amazon charts.
He subsequently shifted focus toward acting, appearing on Broadway in Hairspray and Cry-Baby, studying at The Groundlings and the Lesley Kahn School of Acting, and landing guest roles on House, CSI, CSI: NY, Hawaii Five-0, The Mentalist, Castle and the pilot of Glee.
In later years, Bledsoe continued balancing music, voice work and on-screen roles, including the feature film Riddle opposite Val Kilmer, voice performances in animated projects such as Ronal the Barbarian, and additional television appearances.
He has also worked as a producer and remains active in Los Angeles creative circles while maintaining a presence in real-estate investment and other ventures.
