Brent Morin was born on 31 August 1986 in South Windsor, Connecticut, United States, to parents Gerald Edward Morin and Lynn Morin, both high school English teachers. He has an older brother, Jared, a concert pianist, and a younger brother, Matthew.
He graduated from South Windsor High School and moved to Los Angeles at age 18 to attend Columbia College Hollywood, where he earned a degree in film. He is of Irish, English, and Italian descent, and his religion is Christianity.
Career
Brent Morin began performing stand-up comedy while studying film in Los Angeles. After graduation he worked as a production assistant on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and later on Conan.
He became a regular on the Los Angeles comedy circuit, appearing at The Comedy Store, The Improv, and Laugh Factory, and was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” in 2013.
He gained wider recognition as a panelist on Chelsea Lately and landed his breakthrough acting role as Justin Kearney on the NBC sitcom Undateable (2014–2016). In 2015 he released the Netflix stand-up special I’m Brent Morin.
Additional television credits include Merry Happy Whatever (Netflix), The Standups, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Crunch Time, and guest appearances on various series.
Film roles include parts in How to Be Single (2016), The Outdoorsman (2017), and Yes Day (2021).
