Corin Nemec was born on November 5, 1971, in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. He is of Czech, Irish, and Scottish ancestry and is the son of Joseph Charles Nemec III, a production designer and set designer, and Janis Lynne Collier, a graphic artist, painter, poet, and writer.
He grew up with his older sister, Anastacia C. Nemec, who later worked as an assistant director in the film industry. Inspired by The Goonies, a film on which his father worked, Nemec decided to pursue acting at the age of thirteen. He later trained with the Centre Stage LA Theater Company before launching his acting career. He practices Christianity.
