Craig Cackowski was born on 3 October 1969 in Virginia, United States, to parents referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Cackowski. He has one sister, Liz Cackowski, a comedy writer.
He attended the College of William and Mary, where he earned a B.A. in Theatre and first began performing with the school’s improv troupe. He is American and Christian.
Career
Craig Cackowski started his professional path in Chicago after college, immersing himself in the city’s improvisational comedy scene.
He trained at ImprovOlympic (iO) under Del Close and performed with groups including Baby Wants Candy, Mr. Blonde and The Armando Diaz Experience.
He later worked with The Second City as an actor, teacher, and director, appearing in multiple mainstage, ETC revues while helping develop forms such as JTS Brown and Close Quarters.
