Daniel Aaron Lissing (born October 4, 1981), addressed professionally as Daniel Lissing, is a talented Australian actor and TV personality. 

He made his screen acting debut in the 2011 Australian television series Crownies. The following year, he had a recurring role in the American military drama series Last Resort. 

In January 2014, Daniel Lissing began starring in the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart as Jack Thornton, which he played until April 2018.

The Australian actor Daniel Lissing was born in the Australian city of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales. He has a sister named Tamara Lissing.

His father, named Jerry Lissing, operates a Navy Canteen, and his mother, called Inge Christophers, works for Feros Care, a non-profit organization. 

He grew up in Bondi Beach, near Sydney Harbor, with his only sibling, Tamara Lissing. According to the Australian actor, growing up with his sibling was some of the happiest days of his life. Daniel Lissing is also Jewish.

He joined the cast of Crownies in 2011 and played Conrad De Groot, the fiancé of lawyer Tatum Novak, played by Indiana Evans, till the series ended the following year. He also starred in the film titled Entwined the same year, and he played the role of Aiden.

Daniel Lissing was cast as James King, a petty officer of the United States Navy and a Navy SEAL, in the American television series titled Last Resort, which premiered in 2012. In the series, he starred alongside notable thespians such as Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Autumn Reeser, and Daisy Betts.

In the same year, he joined the cast of the film The Cure, playing Ryan Earl, a research team member who he believes deserves more attention and recognition.
