Early Life

Erin Alisa Krakow was born in the city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania on the 5th of September, 1984. Later, she moved to live with her brother, Kyle Krakow, and her parents, Morgan Krakow and Dr. Elliott Krakow, in Wellington, Florida.

She went to West Palm Beach, Florida’s Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr School of the Arts. Erin Krakow began her acting career in the early stage of her life. 

After studying drama at the Juilliard School in New York City, she was fortunate enough to be awarded a role in The Importance of Being Earnest, George the Fourth, and Steel Magnolias.

Education

Erin Krakow had her education at the Arizona School for the Arts and Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, Arizona. Furthermore, she moved on to the Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she performed in school plays.

After graduation, she came to New York City to study drama at the Juilliard School, where she finished with a BFA degree and immediately began pursuing her dream job as a professional actress.

From 2010 to 2012, Erin Krakow appeared in the Lifetime television drama series Army Wives as Specialist Tanya Gabriel, a medic in Afghanistan. She acted as a guest star on Castle, a crime comedic drama series.

In 2014, Erin Krakow joined the Hallmark Channel drama series, When Calls the Heart, as the lead character, with Australian-born actor, Daniel Lissing. She plays Miss Elizabeth Thatcher, a teacher who was first played by Poppy Drayton in the film that inspired the series. 

Finding Father Christmas, a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film from 2016, starred Erin Krakow. 

Miranda Chester, a woman who visits a tiny Vermont village during the Christmas season in search of information as to the identity of her father, starred alongside Niall Matter in a film adapted from Robin Jones Gunn‘s novels.

The film became the most-watched premiere in the network’s history at the time of its broadcast. 

In May 2017, Hallmark announced a sequel to the film. 

In November 2017, the film premiered on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. In March 2018, Erin Krakow began filming the third chapter of the series, titled Marrying Father Christmas.
