Himesh Reshammiya started his career assisting in television serials and made his debut as a music director with Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998).
He gained massive success with Tere Naam (2003) and Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), where he also began singing and won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer — a rare feat for a composer.
