Florence Masebe was attacked in front of her gate at Brandon, Johannesburg. The attacker shot 41 unceasing shots, of which 6 hit Florence Masebe as she was sitting in the car.

She survived the attack as she was quickly rushed to the hospital. This attack was directed to all Generations cast as confessed by the 22-year-old assassin hired to do the job.

Florence Masebe as well lost her 15-month-old baby in 2015. The baby fell and drowned in the swimming pool. This incident shook her and affected her career before she was able to get back on track.
