Hayley McElhinney was born on September 12, 1974, in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. She was raised by Rosemary McElhinney and Andrew McElhinney alongside her older sister, actress Mandy McElhinney.
The family spent part of Hayley’s childhood in Leeman on Western Australia’s Mid West coast before moving to Kelmscott when she was 11.
