Joanne Peh Wei Siew (born April 25, 1983), also known as Bai Wei Xiu, is a celebrated Singaporean actress and TV host working under The Celebrity Agency. The actress began her acting career in 2004, and in 2006, she was named one of the Seven Princesses of Mediacorp.

She started as a model; she won the Miss Elegant and Miss Personality in Miss Singapore Universe 2002. Afterward, she was signed as a Mediacorp artiste.

Joanne Peh has been featured in a lot of blockbuster movies. She earned accolades for her role in a Singaporean drama titled Like Father, Like Daughter, The Little Nyonya, and many more.

Early Life & Education

Joanne Peh Wei Siew, also known as Bai Wei Xiu, was born in Singapore on April 25th, 1983. She has not shared any information about her parents. Also, her siblings are relatively unknown at the moment.

According to reports, she is of Chinese origin. Her Chinese name is Bai Weixiu. 

Joanne Peh received her high school education at Temasek Secondary School, where she was appointed the head prefect by the school authorities. 

Joanne Peh also attended Victoria Junior College and graduated with a degree in Mass Communication from Nanyang Technological University.

Personal Life

Joanne Peh dated Bobby Tonelli, a radio deejay, for four years, before parting ways. The erstwhile lovers reportedly met on The Little Nyonya set in 2008.

The couple regularly appeared together on television shows and commercials. After breaking up with Bobby Tonelli in 2012, she began to court Qi Yuwu, a Singaporean actor of Chinese descent, in 2013.

Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu married in a private wedding the following year, on September 9th, 2014. The wedding was held at Movenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa, with just a few family and friends in attendance.

The couple welcomed their first child, Baby Qi, a daughter, on August 7th, 2015. And in April 21st, 2017, they welcomed their second child, Qi Didi. This time around, it was a boy.

In early 2021, the couple welcomed their third child, a girl. Joanne Peh has not fully revealed the identities of her children to the media.

Joanne Peh joined MediaCorp as an artist after taking home the Miss Elegant and Miss Personality crown at Miss Singapore Universe 2002. 

She earned the Most Popular Newcomer title and the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes award at the Star Awards 2004, an annual Singaporean award ceremony for TV stars, despite balancing work and her university education simultaneously.

With her performances in drama serials like Like Father, Like Daughter, The Golden Path, The Little Nyonya, and A Tale of 2 Cities, Joanne Peh garnered stellar reviews from audiences.
