She was born to her father, Maximillian Orille, and mother, Maria Alma Hermosa-Orille. She has three siblings namely, Kathleen Hermosa who has been in the movie industry before her, Joshua Hermosa, and Maxine Hermosa.

She happens to be the second child of her parents. Kristine Hermosa began her career in her early life when she was just 12 in the year 1955 by appearing in a comedy show, Ang Tv.
