From the age of four, she trained as a swimmer and became a state-level backstroke champion before a serious leg injury during her pre-university years ended her dream of pursuing the sport professionally.

She later earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Vivekananda Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
