Early Life

Maryann Ugwu was born in the mid-90s to the family of Mr and Mrs Ugwu. She hails from Nsukka, Enugu State.

She is an Igbo lady and was trained in the tradition and culture of her tribe by her parents.

In addition to speaking English, she speaks the Igbo language (her mother tongue) fluently.

She and her siblings were raised by her parents in the ancient town of Nsukka, which is popular for being the home to the second university in the country, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Her parents are devout Christians and she was raised in the same faith.

From an early age, Maryann began acting plays with her siblings and other children in the neighborhood. This was when the love for acting began in her heart as she discovered that she was good at it.
