Early Life & Education

Sai Pallavi was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 9th, 1992. She was born into a Badaga family, her father is called Senthamarai Kannan, and his mother is identified as Radha Kannan.

She grew up alongside her younger sister named, Pooja Kannan, who is also a well-known actress. She was born in Chennai but raised in Coimbatore.

It was also in Coimbatore she received her education. Sai Pallavi attended and graduated from Avila Convent School. She completed her medical studies at the Tbilisi State Medical University, also known as the Medical Council of India. She graduated from the university in 2016.

Sai Pallavi is currently single and has never been married. She has been involved in several relationships, but she always makes sure to keep the identities of her lovers anonymous.

Career

Sai Pallavi revealed during an interview session that even though she was never trained as a trained dancer, she always wanted to do something that involved dancing.

She participated in several cultural events at school, which catapulted her fame as a dancer. Due to her burning passion for dancing, she received immense support from her mother.

Sai Pallavi also participated in the dance reality show titled Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva, which premiered on Vijay TV in 2008; she was also a finalist in Dhee Ultimate Dance Show (D4) which premiered on ETV in the year 2009.

Sai Pallavi also appeared as a child actress in Kasthuri Maan at the age of 13. At the age of 15, she appeared in Dhaam Dhoom. 

Fast forward to 2014, while she was studying in Tbilisi, an American-based film director named Alphonse Puthren offered her the role of Malar in a film titled Premam. Sai Pallavi won several “Best Female Debut” awards that year, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
