Varsha Bollamma came into the world on 30 July 1996 in Kodagu (Coorg), Karnataka, India, to parents Madhu Maletira and Shanthy Bollamma. She has a brother named Vyshaak Aiyappa Maletira, who is a singer.
Raised in Bengaluru, she developed an early interest in acting from the age of five. She completed her education at Mount Carmel College in Bangalore, graduating with a degree in microbiology between 2012 and 2014. She is of Indian origin, and her religion is Hinduism.

Varsha Bollamma first attracted public notice through popular Dubsmash videos, particularly her impersonation of Nazriya Nazim‘s dialogues from the film Raja Rani, which went viral and led to acting opportunities. She made her cinematic debut in the 2015 Tamil film Sathuran.
