Following this breakthrough, Maruthi directed Bus Stop in late 2012, which was declared a hit.
He wrote and produced Prema Katha Chitram in 2013 under his banner Maruthi Talkies, which became a sudden hit grossing 20 crores.
His subsequent directorial projects included Kotha Janta (2014) with Allu Sirish and Babu Bangaram (2016) with Venkatesh.
His collaboration with Nani on Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (2015) proved to be a super hit, praised for Nani‘s outstanding performance.
