Daniel Ademinokan was born on July 31, 1977, in Lagos, Nigeria. There is no information about his family background; however, he is from Delta State but grew up in Lagos. He is sometimes addressed as DaBishop.

He attended the University of Ibadan, where he got his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He later went to study filmmaking at the Digital Film Academy, Miami, New York City, United States.
