Early Life And Education

Kacey Musgraves was born on August 21, 1988, in Golden, Texas, the daughter of Craig Musgraves and Karen (née Abrams). Karen Musgraves is an artist, and Craig owns M-Prints Printing, Inc., a small printing company in Mineola, Texas.

 According to Musgraves, she was only five pounds at birth and was born six weeks early. Kelly Christine Sutton is Kacey Musgraves’s sister. At the age of 18, she went to Austin, Texas, after graduating from Mineola High School in 2006. 2007 saw it. She appears to have yet to continue her official education past high school.

Career

Musgraves wrote songs at the early age of eight and took up the mandolin and guitar at the age of twelve. Throughout her teens and early twenties, she put out a number of indie recordings, including one as part of the duo Texas Two Bits with Alina Tatum.

Musgraves met fellow country singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly in 2016, and they got married in October 2017. Their relationship was a source of inspiration for her critically acclaimed album “Golden Hour,” which won Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammys. However, they divorced in 2020.

Following her divorce, Musgraves dated a writer, Cole Schafer, for two years. Their relationship was more public than her previous one, and Musgraves spoke about being happy and proud of their love. However, they recently broke up in November 2023.
