One such instance involved a legal dispute over his academic credentials, which landed him in court. A tenacious voter from the Lubaga South constituency raised questions about the validity of his educational qualifications. 

Specifically, they alleged that Kato Lubwama, at 22, colluded with Makerere University to secure enrollment in a music and drama diploma program, typically reserved for mature students aged 25 and above. These allegations fueled the fire of doubt surrounding Lubwama’s educational background.

Cause Of Death

Kato Lubwama suffered a heart attack and died on June 7, 2023. An associate and promoter named Andrew Mukasa, also known as Bajjo Events, was the first to inform people of Lubwama’s passing.

Throughout his career, Kato Lubwama has held a variety of positions. He has been the Director of the Royal Theater since 2010, displaying his skill as a theatre actor. In addition, he has been the director of Image Africa since 1999 and Diamonds Ensemble since 1994. 

He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 to represent the Rubaga South Constituency. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Lubwama runs several businesses, including one that produces maize flour. He oversees B24TV in Uganda as its director.

Ann Namuwonge and Kato Lubwama have six kids together and are happily married. It is important to remember, too, that Lubwama also has kids from prior relationships.

Lubwama has interests outside his work obligations, including drama, music, and football. He is also quite interested in fumigation-based pest control and eradication. 

Particularly in Busega, Ndeeba, and Kabawo, Kato Lubwama is heavily involved in homecare and child welfare projects. He sits on the Committee of Defense and Internal Affairs and is a member of Uganda’s Federation of Performing Artistes.
