Vusi Nova was born on the 24th day of September in 1984. He was born and raised in New Brighton Township in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

He has a brother named Sisa Hewana who is a popular South African actor that had appeared in numerous shows and has appeared in one of Vusi Nova‘s music video. He lost his mother to the cold hands of death in 2005.

One of his primary school teachers asked him what he was going to be when he grows up and he answered the teacher saying that he wanted to make music. His passion started for music started from a young age.
