Zonke was born on the 11th day of October 1979 in KwaZakhele, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
She was raised in Port Elizabeth and moved to Johannesburg later on. Her father, Vuyisile Dikana and step mother Anneline Malebo were musicians.
Her father was the lead drummer for the musical band called Black Slave and Flamingo. Her stepmom sang for the band called Joy.
Her step mother and father was very instrumental in her career choice and path.
Zonke Dikana completed her primary and secondary school education in South Africa.
She graduated from Masiphatisani High School in Motherwell.
She graduated with a degree in human resource management in 1997 from the University of the Free State.
