Poway High School, Twin Peaks Middle School, and Painted Rock Elementary School were all attended by Bobby Lee. In high school, he was a member of a breakdancing team.

He moved out of his parent’s home at the age of 18 and worked in restaurants and coffee shops in the San Diego area while attending Palomar College. In the end, he bowed out.

His Korean American parents ran clothing stores in Escondido and Encinitas, California. His mother has relocated to Phoenix, Arizona.

Bobby Lee‘s younger brother, Steve Lee, is a guitarist and the host of the podcast The Steebee Weebee. In addition to Bobby Lee, Steve Lee has appeared as a guest star on MAD TV, most notably in sketches with Kim Jong-il and Tank.

Career

Bobby Lee worked in a variety of cafes and restaurants before pursuing a career in comedy. In 1994, the coffee shop where he worked abruptly shuttered. “I recently got a job next door at The Comedy Store in San Diego,” he explained (also known as the La Jolla Comedy Store). After a few months of doing various tasks at the club, he wanted to pursue stand-up comedy at one of the club’s amateur nights.

Within a year of doing daily comedy gigs, Bobby Lee received requests to open for Pauly Shore and Carlos Mencia. He later became a regular at Pauly Shore‘s mother Mitzi’s comedy club, The Comedy Store, in Los Angeles. He has stated in multiple interviews that his parents thought he would stay in the family company and were first dismissive of his comic pursuits.

In a podcast interview with fellow actor and comedian, Joe Rogan on February 1, 2011, Bobby Lee revealed that his parents barely spoke to him during the first few years of his stand-up career, but that after his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, his father called him and asked how much he had to pay to be on the show, and then apologized for not promoting his comedy career.

On MADtv, his younger brother has made numerous non-speaking appearances, and his entire family has appeared in a parody. In 2007, Bobby Lee pitched Comedy Central a series about a Korean family that would star his own family.

Bobby Lee hosted the 9th MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert in 2013. In 2020, He and Andrew Santino began co-hosting the Bad Friends podcast.

Personal Life

There is no information on Bobby Lee‘s dating history because he has kept his personal life as secret as possible.

Khalyla Kuhn, a biochemist, is Bobby Lee‘s sole publicly known girlfriend; they met on Tinder in early 2013 and were dating before marrying in August 2016. The most talked-about aspect of their marriage was Khalyla’s reported greed for money.

Many of Bobby Lee‘s admirers despised her, believing she only married him because of his fortune. She refuted the allegations in a Twitter post, claiming that she had led a very everyday life before Bobby Lee‘s arrival.

On the other hand, the couple appears to have a lot of fun together, as evidenced by their YouTube podcasts and Khalyla Kuhn‘s Instagram photos.

Net Worth

According to reliable sources, Bobby Lee‘s net worth as of now is projected to be US$10 million, which he has amassed throughout his career in the entertainment sector.
