His parents are Mr. Edoho and Mrs. Nya Bassey, and he comes from a family of six, which includes himself and three siblings: his brother, Bassey Edoho, and his sisters, Eno Edoho and Favour Iniama.

Frank Edoho earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Calabar, where he graduated in 1998. While in school, he also performed as a rapper under the stage name MC Frank, a creative pursuit he balanced alongside his academic work.

He stands at 173 cm (5 feet 8 inches) tall and is 53 years old. Over the course of his personal life, Frank Edoho has been married twice. His first marriage was to broadcaster and actress Katherine Obiang, with whom he has three children, and his second marriage was to entrepreneur Sandra Onyenuchenuya, with whom he has two sons.

Both marriages have since ended. His only confirmed relationships have been with his two wives, and no other public dating history has been disclosed.

Katherine Obiang

Katherine Obiang is a Cameroonian-Nigerian actress, on-air personality, and television presenter. She was born on May 17 to a Cameroonian father and a mother from the Efik ethnic group in Nigeria.

She is a graduate of accountancy, and her first professional role was as a television presenter for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on the morning program AM Express, and also with Nigeria Info 99.3FM.

Katherine Obiang became more prominent when she featured in the 2012 film Journey to Self, directed by Tope Oshin. From there, she went on to appear in several Nollywood films and television series.

She featured in the 2017 film The Women and won the 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards for Best Supporting Actress alongside Kate Henshaw and Omoni Oboli.

She has also appeared in films including Lekki Wives, We Don’t Live Here Anymore, and Journey to Self, among others. Her IMDb credits further include Wetin Women Want (2018), Heaven’s Hell (2019), and Lekki Wives: The Reunion (2024).

Frank Edoho was married to Katherine Obiang from 2004 to 2011, and the two had three children together. The union was, by all accounts, a difficult one. Speaking on the WithChude podcast, Frank Edoho described the marriage as a “mismatch” and acknowledged shared responsibility for their struggles.

He said, “My ex-wife was my friend, and there were children involved. I think ours was a mismatch; I was young. When she got pregnant, I had cold feet, but I still got married. It lasted seven years, and in 2010, I left.”

Katherine told friends and some members of the media that Frank Edoho, widely loved for his calm and composed on-screen demeanor, had physically assaulted her on several occasions, citing bruises and cuts as evidence. Frank Edoho denied the accusations.

The allegations grew so widespread that they drew the attention of the sponsors of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, prompting a critical meeting. Edoho later said the period was one of the most depressing of his life, though he maintained that he was not guilty of the accusations and that he left the marriage rather than being pushed out of it.

Following the separation, Katherine took custody of the children, while Frank Edoho was assigned a specific amount annually as child-raising funds. Both left their shared home at Chevron Estate in Lagos, with Frank moving to Lekki and Katherine settling with the children on Victoria Island.

The two have kept things civil in the years since, and Katherine Obiang has continued to build a respected acting career in Nollywood.

Sandra Onyenuchenuya

Sandra Onyenuchenuya, also known as Sandra Edoho, was born on 9 September 1984. She is a native of Arochukwu in Abia State, is Igbo by tribe, and a Christian by religion.

She is an entrepreneur and serves as CEO and Creative Director of Vivabella Designs and Vivabellahome. Before her marriage to Frank Edoho, she already had a daughter from a previous relationship, who became Frank’s stepdaughter.

Sandra had been Frank Edoho’s companion since around 2010, reportedly the person he leaned on for support through the final collapse of his first marriage. He married Sandra Onyenuchenuya in a traditional wedding ceremony held in Arochukwu, Abia State.

A year later, the couple held a quiet white wedding ceremony attended by close family and friends. On 2 April 2014, they welcomed their first child together, who was Frank Edoho’s fourth child overall. Two years later, the couple welcomed a second child, who was born in the United States.

The marriage was kept largely out of the public eye, with both Frank and Sandra maintaining a low profile on the details of their life together. However, the union eventually came undone. In a candid appearance on the Tea with Tay podcast, Frank Edoho revealed that the second marriage had ended in December 2022, describing the experience as “devastating.” Though he did not spell out the specific cause, he hinted that he may have given “too much freedom” in the relationship.

Reflecting on both marriages, Frank Edoho said, “Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess. The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates. Love of your life is different from your soul mate. The love of your life is the person who comes to your mind when you think of love. But your soul mate is someone who understands you even before you express yourself and you naturally align with. I know that I went above and beyond for the two marriages. I carried my partner. I can abandon everything for her. But you don’t blame them for falling out of love with you.”

His honesty about both unions struck a chord with many Nigerians, and the interview sparked widespread conversation about love, compatibility, and the nature of marriage.
