Meet Offset’s Parents: Latabia Woodward and Michael “Tony” Woodward

Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known worldwide by his stage name Offset, was born on December 14, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, making him 34 years old.

She also founded the Ann Cephus Family Fund, an educational corporation named in honour of her late mother, Ann.

In 2024, Latabia shared on Instagram that she has been “immersed in the vibrant world of music and tech for years” and describes herself as “an entrepreneur at heart.” She has also partnered with the Who’s Got Next Music community, using her platform to push emerging talent to the forefront of the industry. On TikTok and Instagram, she documents her journey as a CEO who started as a teen mother, building a life defined by resilience, purpose, and family loyalty.

Latabia’s role in Offset’s public life has been both supportive and visible. She has appeared on behalf of her son in legal proceedings, including a 2015 bail hearing where she testified to his stable home environment and took on responsibility for his character in court. She has stood by him through his legal troubles and celebrated his milestones with equal energy.

In 2019, Offset surprised his mother at an Egyptian-themed family gathering with a red Hermès Birkin bag, inside which Cardi B helped reveal $50,000 in cash. The moment was widely shared online and became a symbol of the deep affection between mother and son.

Originally from Florida, Michael now resides in Lithonia, Georgia, as part of the wider family unit surrounding Kiari Cephus. He is college-educated and a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha, the prominent African-American intercollegiate fraternity with a storied history of academic excellence and civic leadership.

Michael has served as a social studies teacher and was reportedly working on his doctorate at the time of Offset’s 2015 legal proceedings, during which Latabia described their household as one with “very strict standards.”

He has also held the role of Principal Director at Lead Foundation, an organization where Latabia herself has also worked, underscoring their shared commitment to community-driven work. In the letter, he described the situation as only “the tip of the iceberg” and pushed back at what he viewed as reckless use of social media during a deeply personal family crisis.
