Colleen Ballinger was born in Santa Barbara, California, to sales manager Tim Ballinger and housewife Gwen Ballinger on November 21, 1986.

She has three siblings: Christopher Ballinger, Rachel Ballinger and Trent Ballinger. She attended Azusa Pacific University after graduating from San Marcos High School in 2008.
