Mama Dragun, also known as Nikita Dragun, was born in Springfield, Virginia, United States, on January 31, 1996. Her mother is a Mexican citizen, while her father is Vietnamese. Her parents are Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen.

She has a brother named Vincarlo Nguyen and two sisters named Allegrah Nguyen Capri and Taliah Nguyen Marriott. 

Nikita Dragun was taught as a male vocalist in the classroom, but she plans to retrain to recover her voice following the shift. 2014 saw her enroll in a four-year program at the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Career

Nikita Dragun first appeared on the photo-sharing website Instagram, where she cultivated a very polished persona. She was a frequent YouTube user who believed she could succeed there as well, bringing her polished persona. She avoided discussing her sexuality initially because she believed that her fans would recognize her change. 

Additionally, Mama Dragun has served as a model for Jeffree Star Cosmetics. In September 2017, she revealed her first-ever partnership with a company and debuted her line of three wigs from Bellami Hair, Saphira, Khaleesi, and Cassie.

She decided to transition after finding it uncomfortable to use the men’s restroom but was hesitant because of her strict upbringing. Her parents, though, were highly supportive of her choice. 

Nikita Dragun had never encountered a transgender person in her life while growing up in Virginia. Still, after opening up on YouTube, she began receiving helpful advice from individuals worldwide, making her believe in the site’s power. 

She relocated to Los Angeles in the middle of 2015 as she began to become well-known on YouTube, where she met more LGBT members who inspired her.

She made the decision to be authentic on her YouTube channel and share her story to inspire others. As a result, on July 22, 2018, Nikita Dragun uploaded a video to YouTube with the subject Have I Gotten THE Surgery…, in which she discussed hormone replacement therapy, had surgery to alter her appearance, and even demonstrated staples being removed from her skull.
