Ruënna Mercelina was born in the St. Elizabeth Hospital on January 18th, 1992. Her parents: Ruthsella Mercelina-Troncon and Gwendell Mercelina Sr and her brother in a catholic home.

She has an older brother named Gwendell Mercelina Jr., who is four years older than her. Ruënna Mercelina is also a well-known media personality and politician in Curaçao, an international youth ambassador, and was the former Youth Parliament President of Curaçao.

She then worked as a model educator for children and pre-teens in the organization.

Miss Curaçao Teenager Talent, Most Beautiful Legs, Miss Internet, and a major sponsor as Miss Kitatin were among the titles she earned in her first beauty pageant competition. The Minister of Culture in Guatemala also dubbed her the Ebony Goddess. 

Ruënna Mercelina was hired as a teen beauty ambassador for the Miss Ecstasy International pageant in Anguilla, where she won the Miss Personality title, and then the Miss Caribbean Talented Teen pageant in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Ruënna Mercelina starred as a female writer who turned into a homosexual man to write a book on the gay community in a comedy film titled Gainan Fini. 

She recently played the lead role in Tisha, a popular theatrical production. She played the role of a fifteen-year-old girl who must make difficult decisions, including whether or not to have an unplanned pregnancy.
