Early Life

Erling Braut Haaland was birthed on the 21st of July 2000 in a public-owned medical facility in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. He is a British Citizen by birth, even though he is originally from Norway. Both of his parents are originally from Norway.  

Erling Haaland is from a family who has a love for sports. He is the son of Alfie Haaland and Gry Marita Braut. Alfie Haaland is a former Norwegian professional footballer, while Gry Marita Braut is a former professional Norwegian heptathlon athlete. Erling Haaland‘s cousin Albert Tjåland is also a professional footballer. Tjåland is a striker who plays for Norwegian football club Molde FK.  

His maternal cousin Jonatan Braut Brunes is also a Norwegian professional footballer. His parents met in England when his father used to play for Nottingham Forest. He was born when his father was signed by Leeds United and was playing in the English Premier League at the time. The Senior Haaland also played for Manchester City.
