Elise Jordan was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi, United States. She was born to Kelly Jordan (father) and Susan Boone Jordan (mother) on June 22, 1990. Russell Jordan is her brother’s name. Her father died in 2016 after suffering a heart attack.

She has had a strong interest in journalism since she was a child. She attended Yale University after graduating high school, earning a bachelor’s degree in history in 2004.
