 Jordan Robert Romano, a highly skilled and successful Canadian athlete, was born on April 21, 1993, in Markham, Ontario, Canada. His loving parents, Cynthia and Joe Romano, nurtured his upbringing. 

Throughout childhood and adolescence, Jordan grew up alongside his older brother, Chris, and his two younger sisters, Julia and Cassandra. Jordan attended Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy High School as he progressed through his educational journey.

Career

Romano excelled in various sports, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Despite not being selected directly after high school, he decided to further his education at Connors State College in Oklahoma. During his initial season at Connors State, Romano had a record of 0-1 with an ERA of 8.68 and achieved 14 strikeouts in a total of 91 innings pitched.

Romano transferred to Houston Baptist University after completing his first year at Connors State. During his time at Houston Baptist, he demonstrated impressive skills on the field, achieving a 14-5 record, a 3.75 ERA, and a remarkable 204 strikeouts in just 174 innings. 

Because of his outstanding performance, Romano caught the attention of the Toronto Blue Jays, who selected him in the tenth round of the 2014 MLB draft. The Blue Jays were eager to secure Romano’s talent and offered him a $25,000 signing bonus, which he gladly accepted.

During the 2014 season, Romano played for the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays and the Bluefield Blue Jays in the rookie-level and rookie-advanced Appalachian Leagues, respectively. In 13 games, he recorded 1 win and 1 loss, with an impressive ERA of 1.93. Additionally, Romano struck out 34 batters in just 28 innings pitched.

Romano suffered a serious injury to his ulnar collateral ligament during spring training in 2015. As a result, he had to undergo Tommy John surgery and was unable to play the entire season. However, he returned in 2016 and joined the Blue Jays organization again. 

He played for various teams within the organization, including the Bluefield Blue Jays, Dunedin Blue Jays, and New Hampshire Fisher Cats. In 48 appearances, Romano achieved an impressive record of 8 wins and 3 losses, with an ERA of 2.34. He also struck out 130 batters in 91 and two-thirds innings pitched.
