Street traders in Nigeria’s informal Aboki market quoted the United States dollar at roughly ₦1,370 when buying cash from customers and ₦1,385 when selling on Sunday, 25 October 2026, across major centres including Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt.

That put $100 at about ₦137,000 for anyone selling dollars to dealers and close to ₦138,500 for those needing to buy the same amount. The Central Bank of Nigeria’s official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market rate remained near ₦1,362 per dollar, leaving a street premium of roughly ₦23, or about 1.7 percent.

Weekend quotes largely held Saturday’s band after the naira closed the previous session around ₦1,385 in the parallel market, with no sharp movement in either direction and demand from importers, travellers and students staying orderly rather than intense.

External reserves have recently been reported near $54–55 billion, while oil receipts continue to support official liquidity even after elevated interbank turnover late in the week.

Quotes still differed slightly by location, volume and time of day, and operators noted that the informal rate can shift before the close of business. The gap between the official window and the parallel market has remained comparatively narrow by recent historical standards, yet cash transactions outside the banking system continue to serve as the practical benchmark for many users who cannot obtain dollars at the CBN rate.

Anyone planning an exchange is advised to confirm the live quote with a trusted bureau or operator, because parallel-market prices are not fixed and can vary by city and the size of the deal.
