Aboki Naira to Dollar Black Market Exchange Rate Today, 8th October 2026

Dealers in the Aboki market opened Thursday, 8 October 2026, quoting the US dollar at roughly ₦1,355 to ₦1,365 when buying cash from customers and ₦1,362 to ₦1,375 when selling across Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt.

That left $100 at about ₦135,500–₦136,500 for anyone handing dollars to a dealer and close to ₦136,200–₦137,500 for anyone needing the same amount. The official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market rate last published by the Central Bank of Nigeria sat near ₦1,331 to ₦1,332 per dollar, after Wednesday’s session closed around ₦1,331.50, so the informal premium stayed near ₦31 to ₦44, or a little over 2 to 3 percent.

Wednesday had already shown a slightly weaker naira on the street, with the parallel quote easing from about ₦1,357 to ₦1,362, and early Thursday quotes held that softer band rather than reversing it. Official-window turnover had jumped in the previous session, to about $313.6 million, while external reserves were last reported near $54.9 billion and oil receipts continued to support formal liquidity.

Quotes still differed by city, volume and the hour of the day, and operators said the informal rate can still move before the close of business. The gap between the official window and the parallel market has stayed comparatively tight by recent standards, yet cash deals outside the banking system remain the practical reference for many people who cannot obtain dollars at the CBN rate.

Anyone planning an exchange was advised to confirm the live figure with a trusted bureau, because street prices are not fixed and can shift on local supply and remittance inflows.
