Black Market Naira to Dollar Rate Today, 28 October 2026: Dealers Quote ₦1,370–₦1,385

The Nigerian naira traded steadily on the informal Aboki market on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, with street dealers in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt quoting the United States dollar at about ₦1,370 when buying cash from customers and ₦1,385 when selling.

That left a traveller or trader who handed over $100 receiving roughly ₦137,000, while anyone needing the same amount of hard currency paid close to ₦138,500.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market rate stayed near ₦1,352 to ₦1,353 per dollar, so the street premium remained in the region of ₦17 to ₦32, or roughly 1.3 to 2.4 percent.

Demand from importers, students and travellers held orderly rather than intense, supported by external reserves reported above $55 billion and continued oil receipts that have helped sustain official liquidity.

Quotes still varied slightly by city, volume and time of day, and operators noted that the informal rate can shift before the close of business. The gap between the official window and the parallel market has stayed comparatively narrow by recent standards, yet cash deals outside the banking system remain the practical benchmark for many people who cannot obtain dollars at the CBN rate.

Anyone planning an exchange was advised to confirm the live quote with a trusted operator, because parallel-market prices are not fixed and can move on local supply and remittance inflows.
