Street Hawker’s Scam Unveiled After Brain Jotter Generous Gift
In a surprising turn, comedian Brain Jotter finds himself at the center of a deception scheme after generously helping a female hawker named Eniola with ₦400,000 to start her makeup business.
On November 6, Brain Jotter shared a heartwarming video detailing his encounter with Eniola, whose real name is Eniola Akanda Ola, a female hawker selling bottled water on the streets of Lagos. Touched by her story, the comedian decided to assist her in launching her makeup business, transferring ₦400,000 to her account and offering to share her details for further assistance.
However, recent allegations have surfaced, indicating that Eniola is, in fact, a young man named Sultan, hiding under the Instagram username Glamby Eniola (@glam_by_eniola). It is reported that Sultan posed as a female hawker to deceive people and receive financial assistance. In 2022, a group of individuals had even gathered resources to rent an apartment for him and support his establishment.
Brain Jotter expressed shock and disappointment on his Instagram story, revealing that Sultan had successfully scammed him and others, receiving over ₦600,000 in total from various people.
The revelation has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, highlighting the challenges of distinguishing genuine cases from deceptive practices, leaving both donors and well-wishers astonished by the unexpected turn of events.
