Tragic Killing of Abductee Nabeeha Sparks Urgent Calls for Rescue

Posted By Kaptain Kush

Bandits have reportedly killed Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, one of the six sisters abducted in Abuja on January 9. The gunmen had initially kidnapped the sisters along with their father, later releasing him with instructions to secure a N60 million ransom for the release of his daughters by Friday, January 12.

Despite urgent appeals for donations from Nigerians to raise the ransom, it appears that insufficient funds were gathered. As a consequence, the criminals allegedly killed Nabeeha, the oldest among the kidnapped sisters, dumping her body for her parents to bury.

Former Minister for Communication and Digital Economy Isa Ali Pantami confirmed Nabeeha‘s tragic demise and expressed condolences. He pledged efforts to secure the release of the remaining kidnapped girls.

The call for action has intensified on social media, with pleas directed at the Nigerian Police to prioritize the case and deploy all necessary resources for the safe rescue of the remaining victims. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, responded, urging family members to reach out and provide crucial information for the rescue efforts.

Former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad facilitated communication between the police and a senior member of the victims’ family, expressing hope for the swift and safe rescue of the remaining sisters. Nigerians on social media have shared their grief over Nabeeha‘s tragic fate, emphasizing the need for security agencies to act promptly to ensure the safety of the abducted girls.
