Rudeboy “Take It” [Song Review]April 20, 2020
It was 2016, news of the Psquare break up was picking steam and their fans were nothing short of distraught. The most dominant duo act in the history of Nigerian music was splitting up and most of us had to pick sides, or so it seemed.
They chose their career paths, and the fans were divided amongst them. Some followed Paul (Rudeboy) for the vintage psquared sound we have come to love and admire, others followed Peter (Mr P) for the promise of a fresh new infusion into the psquared sound that was becoming too predictable to a lot of people.
For awhile the prediction seemed accurate, Rude boy gave us the vintage psquared sound and Mr P a more experimental feel to it all, but lately Rude boy has been surprising us with his more flexible songs.
Songs like “Audio money”, “Reason with me”where already making waves, and in this song “Take it” he gave us all a masterpiece. A perfect blend of what we have come to expect from psquared and a fresh new vibe to keep us all stunned.
Catchy lyrics and excellent vocal renditions garnished with that famed psquared delivery. We expected this freshness from Mr p, and while he’s not really failed us, Rude boy has shown us that he too can mix it up when required.
A Solid Overall Rating: 8/10
