He lived in Meriden until age 12, when his family moved to Middlefield, Connecticut.

Raised in a middle-class household, he attended Xavier High School, an all-male private Catholic school in Middletown, Connecticut, graduating in 2000.

Enrolling at James Madison University in 2000 to pursue a medical career, his plans shifted after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, which killed a friend’s father, prompting him to enlist in the Navy.

After his military service, he returned to education, graduating magna cum laude with a political science degree from the University of Connecticut in 2011.

In 2012, he moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, earning a Master’s of Medical Sciences from Wake Forest University in August 2014, passing his medical boards to become a certified physician assistant.

His ethnicity is presumed Caucasian, his zodiac sign is Capricorn, and he was raised in a Catholic environment, as indicated by his schooling.

Career

Inspired by a SEALs poster, Lacz enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2002, starting Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training with Class 245.

A back injury forced him to roll back, graduating with Class 246 in 2003.

As a Hospital Corpsman, he attended 18-D Special Operations Combat Medic School at Fort Bragg and Army Sniper School, becoming a platoon sniper, medic, and breacher.

Assigned to SEAL Team 3 in Coronado, California, he deployed to Ramadi, Iraq, in 2006 with Charlie Platoon, Task Unit Bruiser, alongside Chris Kyle, Marc Lee, Ryan Job, and Jocko Willink.

His unit, the most decorated special operations unit of the Iraq War, conducted sniper overwatches, direct action missions, and raids.

Lacz’s actions, including carrying a fallen comrade under fire, earned him a Bronze Star with Combat ‘V.’

In 2008, he deployed again with Delta Platoon, focusing on intercepting foreign fighters along the Iraq-Syria border.

His skills included Special Operations Combat Medicine, Military Free-Fall (HALO/HAHO), Long-Range Sniper Interdiction, and Close Quarters Combat.

Honorably discharged in 2010, Lacz pursued a medical career, working as a physician assistant in northwest Florida and southeastern Alabama, co-owning Regenesis, a lifestyle and performance medicine practice.

His military experience led to his involvement in American Sniper (2014), where he contributed to Chris Kyle’s memoir through interviews, served as a technical advisor, and was cast as “Dauber” after an audition encouraged by Bradley Cooper.
