Edoardo Leo was born on 21 April 1972 in Rome, Italy, and grew up in the Roma 70 neighbourhood in the Ardeatino area. Born to parents referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Leo, while information about any siblings are unknown. His father worked for an insurance company and his mother was employed at SIAE.

He attended a scientific high school before enrolling at Sapienza University of Rome, where he graduated in Literature in 1999. He is of Italian origin and his religion is Christianity.
