His entertainment career began in 1988 through Chhankata, a satirical comedy series created alongside Bal Mukund Sharma. The series became highly popular among Punjabi audiences, producing 27 instalments and establishing his celebrated character Chacha Chatar Singh.
Jaswinder Bhalla entered Punjabi cinema through Dulla Bhatti and subsequently appeared in Mahaul Theek Hai, Jatt & Juliet, Carry On Jatta, Mel Karade Rabba, Power Cut, Carry On Jatta 2, Ashke, Carry On Jatta 3, and numerous other productions. He also performed stage shows, including Naughty Baba in Town, which toured Canada and Australia.
