Kayda Karabo Maseko (born 27 June 1995) is a young and fast-rising South African actor and television presenter.

He is best known for his role in the South African soap opera, The Legacy.

Besides acting, he is also a well-known presenter in South Africa and he presents for the E-TV’s youth program, Craz-E.

He is also known for his role as Neo on the eTV telenovela, Isipho.

Early Life

Karabo Maseko was born on the 27th day of June in the year 1995.

He was born in Mpumalanga and was raised in Kwandebele before moving to Middleburg.

He has one sibling, his elder sister, Tsholofelo Maseko. His family lived in peace for a short while until his father sent his mother, his elder sister, and himself out of the house after a misunderstanding and conflict when he was very young.

Since then his mother struggled to raise them and tried her best to sacrifice for her children to gain a quality education.
According to him, his mother is his greatest inspiration and source of motivation.

Education

Karabo Maseko started his primary School education in Kwandebele. He completed his secondary school education in Middleburg.

He furthered his education at the University of Johannesburg and obtained a degree in business management.

Career

Karabo Maseko studied business management at the University of Johannesburg during this time, he joined Mr. Bunting competitions and obtained the first prize. This victory brought modeling gigs for him.

Later on, he received an invitation to audition for the role of a television presenter on the ETV show CrazyE. He got the position through the help of his sister, a popular African TV presenter. She assisted him during the preparation for the audition and gave him tips that he applied.

He auditioned for and landed a role on the popular South African soap opera, Generations: The Legacy, where he plays the role of Luyolo (a Rastafarian medical school graduate who falls in love with a young lady Lesedi)

He started the acapella-based music group called This Is It. They competed in the National Eisteddfod music competition and made it to the semi-finals. He has not released any music track yet. He said that singing is one of his talents and passion and told fans to watch out for some music tracks soon.
