Early Life & Education

Maxi Lim was born in Singapore on March 12, 1987. We don’t have many details concerning his parents and siblings. However, we know that he is an alumnus of the Temasek Polytechnic (School of Design). 

 He started designing clothes very young and successfully created several clothing lines with global brands. 

Maxi Lim also attended LASALLE College of the Arts, where he studied fashion design before coming to America to study at FIDM.

On March 29, 2020, Maxi Lim married actress Liz Teo. The couple announced that they are expecting a child in September.

Maxi Lim is best known for playing the comical and eager-to-please Wayang King in the hit local movie Ah Boys to Men series. He has also appeared in other films and television dramas, such as The Invisible Monster and Silence on Set, where he played the role of Edmund.

His acting career began in 2005 when he was cast in a local movie. After graduating from School, he went on to star in several films and television dramas. His big break came in 2012 when he was cast as Wayang King in the Ah Boys to Men series. The films were a huge hit with local audiences and made him a household name.
