Early life and education
Suraj Venjaramoodu was born on June 30, 1976 to Venjaramood K. Vasudevan Nair, a retired Indian Army soldier, and Vilasini. He grew up as the youngest of three children alongside his elder brother V. Saji and sister Sunitha V. V.
His brother also served in the Indian Army, while his sister settled in Thiruvananthapuram after marriage. Suraj originally wanted to join the Army, but a bicycle accident prevented him from following that path.
He completed his schooling at K.V.M.L.P.S., Venjaramoodu, before earning a Mechanical diploma from Government ITI, Attingal.

Suraj Venjaramoodu entered the entertainment industry as a mimicry artist and gradually became recognised for his distinctive comic performances and imitation of the Thiruvananthapuram dialect.
