Temitope Christopher Tedela was born on 5 June 1990 in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Tedela. He is the eldest of four siblings, all male, and his family originates from Ekiti State in southwestern Nigeria.

Tedela attended Lagos State Model College, Meiran, Lagos, for his secondary education. He went on to earn a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. While in university, he worked as an on-air personality at UNILAG FM and also served as a news anchor at NTA. He is of Yoruba ethnicity; his religion is Christianity.

Career

Temitope Christopher Tedela began his acting career while still studying at the University of Lagos, making his screen debut as Julian in the family television series Edge of Paradise. He briefly paused acting to focus on his studies but returned to the screen shortly after graduation.

His breakthrough came when he landed his first leading role as Lala in the feature film A Mile from Home (2013), which garnered significant attention and earned him several awards, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Most Promising Actor at the 10th edition of the ceremony.

In 2015, Tedela starred in A Soldier’s Story and Out of Luck, building his reputation as a versatile lead actor. He earned widespread critical acclaim for his portrayal of the metrosexual Kyle Stevens-Adedoyin in the 2016 comedy film Suru L’ere.

He continued his successful run in 2017 with well-received films including the epic King Invincible, the crime-heist comedy Ojukokoro, and the action-drama Slow Country. That same year, he made his producing debut with the drama thriller film What Lies Within.
