Early Life and Education
Trevor Eyster was born on October 10, 1978, making him 47 years old. He grew up in Folsom, California, with his parents and sister, Caitlin Eyster.
His sister also developed an interest in acting during childhood, giving the siblings a shared connection to the entertainment industry. Eyster began working professionally as a child, entering the entertainment business at around seven years old and balancing auditions and acting opportunities with his ordinary childhood.
One of his earliest notable opportunities came through a Disney production filmed in Nepal, where he worked alongside actress Milla Jovovich.
The experience introduced him to the demands of professional production and international travel at a young age. When he was fourteen, his parents enrolled him at a private preparatory school in Ojai, California, where he continued his education while remaining involved in acting.
A casting director discovered him during a school screening, which led to a screen test for a feature film and eventually helped him secure professional agency representation.
Personal Life
Trevor Eyster has kept his personal life largely away from the public eye. He has never publicly established a marriage and is generally described as unmarried, with no publicly confirmed spouse or children.
He has also chosen not to make his dating history or romantic relationships a regular subject of interviews or public appearances. Eyster has instead concentrated much of his public attention on his creative work and personal advocacy.

Career

His extensive commercial experience helped him transition into scripted television, where he appeared as a child actor in several established American programs. His early television credits included Family Ties, Married… with Children, Dallas, Matlock, and Santa Barbara.
His defining role came in 1991 when he was cast as Eugene Sponge Harris in the Nickelodeon comedy series Salute Your Shorts. The series followed a group of children attending summer camp, with Eyster’s Eugene standing out for his intelligence, analytical personality, and distinctive mannerisms. His performance made him one of the recognizable young performers associated with Nickelodeon’s early 1990s programming.
During the same period, Eyster appeared in the films Prayer of the Rollerboys and Alligator II: The Mutation. He later returned to television with a guest appearance on the science-fiction series Babylon 5 in 2000.
Following his Babylon 5 appearance, he largely stepped away from mainstream Hollywood acting and pursued interests outside the conventional entertainment industry.
Eyster eventually returned to creative production through independent projects. In 2016, he created SpongeyLeaks, a self-produced docudrama project through which he addressed concerns involving the treatment and care of his disabled maternal aunt.
The project reflected his later interest in advocacy and documentary-style storytelling and represented a different direction from the child-acting career that originally brought him public recognition.
