Early Life & Education

The talented actress Ireti Osayemi was born on the 14th of January, 1982.

She and her parents had lived in Liberia before coming back to Nigeria during the Liberia civil war. She is from Lagos state, where she had all her education.

Ireti Osayemi completed her primary education in Lagos, the southwestern part of Nigeria.

After completing her primary education, she proceeded to Ajumoni Secondary School in Lagos and obtained her West African Leaving Certificate.

She later proceeded to Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.

Career

Ireti Osayemi joined the Nigerian movie industry in the year 1999 and started featuring in Nollywood movies. She acted mainly in Yoruba movies with Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus and Odunlade Adekola.

She made her first debut in a movie titled “CASSANOVA” and has since remained famous in the industry.

She has acted in more than 100 Nollywood movies such as The Return of Jenifa, Squad Twenty-threw, Tomo Tiya, Onfa ife, e.t.c.

In 2008, Ireti Osayemi got married to a Nollywood movie producer Bakky Adeoye, and their marriage is blessed with two children.

She had her firstborn in 2007 before they got married and had their second child in the year 2009, after their marriage.

Recently, a rumour of divorce between her and her husband spread. But the talented actress denied it, saying there was nothing like that but the handwork of rumour mongers.

Her husband’s name is Bakky Adeoye. He is also a Nollywood movie producer. They both got married in the year 2008, and their union is blessed with two lovely kids.
