Josephine Langford was born in Perth, Western Australia on the 18th of August, 1997. She was raised in a riverside neighborhood located in Applecross.

Her parents were very well-to-do and thrived in their respective fields. Her father, Stephen Langford, worked as a flying doctor before being appointed as director of medical services at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations, while her mum is also a successful pediatrician, known as Elizabeth Green.

Prior to her recent shot at fame, Josephine Langford had been known for her finesse with musical instruments. She learnt how to play the saxophone, violin, and piano before she reached adulthood.
