Kristen Jaymes Stewart (born 9 April 1990), also addressed as Kristen Stewart, is an American actress and TV personality. 

She is widely known for playing the titular role of Bella Swan in the Twilight series alongside Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Early Life & Education

On April 9, 1990, Kristen Stewart was born in Los Angeles, California, United States. Her Australian mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, is a script editor and director, and her father, John Stewart, is a stage manager and film director. Her grandparents are Norma Urman and Ben Urman.

She has three biological brothers, her younger brothers Dana Stewart and Taylor Stewart and her elder brother Cameron B. Stewart. After 27 years of marriage, her mother filed for divorce in 2012. 

San Fernando Valley is where she was raised. Kristen Stewart attended neighborhood schools until the seventh grade, but as her acting career took off, she switched to distance learning to finish high school.

When Kristen Stewart was eight years old, an agent approached her after seeing her in the Christmas play at her primary school. She had a brief, nonspeaking part in the Disney Channel television movie The Thirteenth Year when she finally landed her first job after a year of applying. 

She starred as the “ring toss girl” in her subsequent movie, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas. She also starred as the tomboyish daughter of a disturbed single mother in the movie named The Safety of Objects (2001) (Patricia Clarkson). 

In the suspense movie Panic Room, Kristen Stewart portrayed the tomboyish diabetic child of a single mum (Jodie Foster).

Kristen Stewart was cast as the lead role of Bella Swan in the romantic fantasy movie Twilight, which is based on Stephenie Meyer‘s book of the same name, Summit Entertainment, announced on November 16, 2007.
