Nandi Mbatha was born on the 27th of November in 1997. She was born and raised in Kwazulu-Natal province of South Africa.

She was raised by her parents in a moderate home. She started acting from a young age and had a passion for it when watching South African television series alongside her parents.

She was largely inspired by great South African actors Hamilton Dlamini and Meshack Mavuso. They were her role models as a child.
