Parvathy was born on April 7, 1988, in Kozhikode, Kerala. She was raised by her parents, P. Vinod Kumar and T. K. Usha Kumari, both lawyers, and grew up alongside her brother, Aum Thiruvothu Karunakaran.
Her family later settled in Thiruvananthapuram, where she completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pangode.
She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram, and later pursued postgraduate studies through distance education. She is also trained in Bharatanatyam.
